    Speak English all Day

You may wonder why when referring to an English course in the U.K. or Ireland we emphasise the point that you will not only study English, but also learn and speak English all day. This is because many English courses provide classes in which you  study English but offer no further guarantees that you will continue to learn English during the rest of the day. In other words, many students do not speak English outside the class, because they have the temptation and freedom to speak to other students in their own language.
With MovingOn Courses you will spend over 10 hours per day with the teachers. Classes, lunch, afternoon trips, a vocabulary review in a typical pub, the evening meal AND the student residence are all shared with teachers. In short, not only do we give you the opportunity to practice English all day, but you will do this in the company of teachers who are there to help you with every aspect of your English language development.

    Daily trips in English

Daily trips to practice English all day

You may ask why we feel the daily trips offer such a good opportunity to learn English.

You will have the opportunity to practice English in real situations with the help and support of teachers. Max 6 students per teacher.

You will visit places of interest but with the guarantee that you will speak English all the time with the corrections of the teachers.

Teachers will correct and note down your English language mistakes plus any new vocabulary.

Before returning to the accommodation we will visit a typical pub where you will have a mini English class. We do this because it will  help you improve your English from your mistakes and remind you of any new vocabulary.

Our experience shows it is far easier to remember:

mistakes when you make them in real situations

new grammar when you need it for a real situation

new vocabulary when aided by your senses because you have seen, touched etc the new word

We use private cars so that you can continue to practice English with your teacher.

Trips are to the most interesting tourist locations. In other words we don't simply take you walking to the local city and show you each and every museum!  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are half day trips of about 40 mins to 75 mins travel time. On Thursdays we have 2 additional afternoon classes so that on Friday we have only one morning class and and a longer full day trip. Please remember you can only speak English.

You may think other English language courses offer the same opportunities. Please remember most do not offer additional activities with the presence of teachers and certainly not max 6 students/teacher.

    English Courses for professionals

    • Business English
    • We have experienced Business English teachers who can help you improve your communication with international clients.  Whether you wish to improve your English for meetings or phonecalls etc, just let us know and we'll arrange the appropriate class material.

    • Specialist English courses
    • Whilst we do not recommend opting out of our regular class structure (see comments above), we do recognise the need that some people have for specialised classes. Our teachers come from a variety of backgrounds and have experience in different fields. If you require specialised classes relating to insurance (for example), or to marketing, we can prepare classes especially for you if we are given sufficient warning and guidance. You tell us what you need, we will ‘bend over backwards’ to provide it for you.

    • Classes "one to one"
    • Our regular classes, combined with the excursions and the accommodation shared with teachers, means that students are being exposed to English throughout the day. Also, the small class sizes (a maximum of 6 students per teacher, but an average of only 4) gives the students the opportunity, not to say the obligation, of participating actively in class and in other activities.

We firmly believe that the existing class structure is very beneficial and do not recommend that students opt out of joint classes altogether. However, some people still feel that they would benefit from ‘one to one’ classes, and we are happy to provide this service at an appropriate cost. We would recommend a mix of joint classes and ‘one to one’, or joint classes during the morning sessions and additional ‘one to one’ classes on some afternoons.
